Yes definitely tell your parents they may be able to help you. But at your age most young people get insomnia because they get out of their normal sleeping pattern, ie staying up all hours of the night for nights on end and find themselves unable to get back to normality again.

I take Lunesta 3 mg. tablets. It works great for me. I am a chronic insomniac, and with the Lunesta I fall asleep and stay asleep through the night. There are rare nights when I will lie awake after taking it, but they are few and far between.

Sleep specialists (doctors) don't like these medications, since they only work for a couple of week anyway, sleep studies show.

I've never bothered to look up its inefficacy, but even in larger doses (3mg) I stayed wide-awake.

I believe it's an isomer of Ambien, which also didn't work great for me, but better.

I think you have a rare case. Try exercising, over do your body until your muscles gives in and take a hot bath before bed. It not work but then again, it might.

Try melatonin. It's all natural. You might wanna start with more than one tab since your used to using other meds. Take it early also so it has time to work.

There are many ways to deal with anxiety and insomnia and in my work I find they are very much related. In fact, they have the same root cause. I've so many of these cases and understand how much of a problem this can be. After a while it over takes your life. You can't think well with the brain fog and you're always tired.

There is a technique know as the Buteyko Breathing Technique that goes after and changes the physiological issues that cause anxiety and insomnia, dysfunctional breathing. I teach the method and have seen near 100% success in helping people get to sleep and stay asleep. The same goes for the anxiety. Clients suddenly find they deal much better with stress and stop worrying about everything. My experience is that within a week or two of using this technique, the benefits are being realized. It requires no meds, supplements or devices and it;s not a one time fix.

If your friend is interested in learning more about this, let me know and I'll send along some additional information. If he would like to find a Buteyko Educator, have him go to www.ButeykoEducation.org to find one in his local area. Many Buteyko Educators will guarantee the result as well. I give a 100% money back guarantee if my clients are not satisfied.

All the best and health,
Don

HAHAHA!! Weed is non-addictive so to be going through "weed widthdrawl" is purely psychological. You will do just fine without smoking weed people live without it all the time, I think your probably giving yourself anxiety about it which would explain the night sweat, etc. I would not say to just on a whim uo the dosage to 4 mg's without your doctor saying its okay.

Go and see your doctor again it could be something else and yes you can get weed withdrawal I never had that problem because I was using it many years ago when it was not so strong. Now the way it is grown you need less of it as it is much stronger.
